Police investigate Endeavour Hills non-fatal shooting

Detectives from the Armed Crime Squad are investigating the circumstances surrounding a shooting in Endeavour Hills this morning.

Emergency services were called to a Janmara Court residence following reports a teenage boy had been injured following a shooting about 1.20am.

Detectives believe a number of shots were fired from the road or footpath towards the home, injuring the teen while he was sleeping.

The 16-year-old boy has been taken to hospital in a stable condition with suspected non-life-threatening injuries.

Other family members in the home at the time weren't injured.

The area has been cordoned off while detectives and officers from the Major Crime Scene Unit process the scene.
