Police investigate fatal collision in Heathcote

Police are continuing to investigate after a man died in a two-car collision in Heathcote this morning.

Investigators believe the driver of a blue Holden Commodore travelling north along the Northern Highway, struck the back of a black Ford utility before crashing into a tree about 5.20am.

The driver of the Holden sedan, a 23-year-old Echuca man died at the scene.

The passenger in the Holden, a 14-year-old girl was transported to hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the utility, a 56-year-old Heathcote man was uninjured.

Police are investigating whether the Holden Commodore, with NSW registration plates, was stolen from a Moama address last week.
