Police investigate Fitzroy fire

Yarra Crime Investigation Unit detectives continue to investigate a fire which broke out behind a food store in Fitzroy on 26 September, Victoria Police say.

The blaze was started in a laneway behind a premises on Johnston Street about 1am.

No one was injured as a result, however the fire spread to the rear of the business, causing significant damage.

The fire has been deemed suspicious.

Investigators have released CCTV and images of a man who they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.

It is believed he was carrying clothing at the time.
