Sommerville Highway Patrol is investigating following a three-car collision in Frankston this afternoon, Victoria Police say.
Investigators have been told a blue Nissan Micra was attempting to make a right hand turn from Skye Road to Dalpura Circuit when a Silver Holden Commodore crashed into the rear of the stationary Nissan.
The Nissan was forced to the oncoming lane where it then collided with aToyota Land Cruiser.
The female passenger of the Nissan was airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries. The female driver of the vehicle was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The male driver of the Toyota and a female passenger were also taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The male driver of the third vehicle is assisting police with their enquiries.
Police are appealing for anyone with dash-cam footage of the Silver Holden Commodore or the collision to contact Crime Stoppers.
