Police investigate Glenorchy assault, TAS

Glenorchy CIB is investigating a wounding incident at Bunnings Warehouse Glenorchy last Friday, where a man received non-life threatening injuries, Tasmania Police say.

Around 4pm on Friday 26 October, Tasmania Police responded to a serious assault outside Bunnings Warehouse.

A 29-year-old man from Risdon Vale was involved in an altercation with another man who was known to him, receiving puncture wounds to his chest and back. He was admitted to the Royal Hobart Hospital with non-life threatening wounds, but discharged a short time later.

Detectives from Glenorchy CIB are investigating the assault and have commenced an extensive investigation, using numerous resources in order to locate, arrest and charge the man responsible for the attack.

"This is an isolated incident. Both parties are known to each other and it’s believed the attack relates to an on-going feud between the two," said Detective Sergeant Benjamin Duffey.

"We’re committed to ensuring the safety of the Tasmanian community and are using extensive resources to locate the man responsible for the attack."
