Police investigate home invasion - Casula

Police are investigating a home invasion in Sydney's south-west overnight.

Just after 10.45pm yesterday (Tuesday 11 June 2019), emergency services were called to a home on Hitter Avenue at Casula, after reports of a home invasion.

Police have been told four to five men wearing dark clothing, entered the home and assaulted two male occupants, aged 22 and 18, with bars.

The occupants were forced into the backyard before being further assaulted with shovels.

The group stole property and cash before fleeing.

Officers from Liverpool City Police Area Command attended and established a crime scene.

Both occupants were taken to hospital in a stable condition, the younger man with suspected arm and rib fractures.

A woman and child were also home at the time and were uninjured.

Initial inquiries suggest it may have been a targeted attack. Investigations continue.
