Police investigate incident at Smithfield Plains, South Australia

Police are investigating an incident at Smithfield Plains yesterday where a man was assaulted and forced into a car.

About 5.15pm on Thursday 14 July, a witness reported seeing two men exit a silver Subaru four-door sedan on Hodby Crescent and run towards the victim, who was walking across a grass area towards Curtis Road near the western end of Hodby Crescent.

The two men then assaulted the victim and dragged him back to their car, forcing him inside with them.

The car, which was driven by a third man then sped off, travelling east towards Greenwood Crescent.

The victim is described as being of Aboriginal appearance, aged in his early 20s and was wearing a long-sleeve shirt and pants.

The two suspects that got out of the vehicle were wearing hooded jumpers, one of which was grey in colour.

The car's registration may end in SCP.
