Police are currently at the scene of a fatal collision in Irrewillipe East, south west of Colac.
Investigators have been told the single occupant of the car, a 56-year-old Carlisle man was last seen on Saturday night and was believed to be making his way home.
Sadly, his vehicle was located this morning by a family member after it had veered off Black Bridge Road and into trees.
Police have local diversions in place and locals are asked to avoid the area.
