Police investigate Kennington sexual assaults

Bendigo Sexual Offences and Child Abuse Investigation Unit detectives are investigating two sexual assaults that occurred in Kennington on Thursday, 18 May.

A 21-year-old woman witnessed an unidentified man acting erratically on Houlihan Street about 1.30pm.

As the woman continued onto Edwards Road she was approached by the man who inappropriately grabbed her from behind.

About two hours later a 14-year-old girl was walking along Edwards Road when she was approached from behind and inappropriately grabbed by a man who then fled in the direction of Ellis Street.

Police are investigating whether the incidents are linked and are appealing specifically for anyone who may have dashcam or CCTV from the area within the two timeframes.

Investigators have been told the man had dark brown hair and a beard.
