Police investigate mail theft in South Yarra

Prahran Crime Investigation Unit detectives are hoping to identify a woman following a series of mail thefts in South Yarra.

It is believed a woman attended an apartment complex on Clifton Street a number of times between 27 January and 17 February.

On each occasion the offender damaged mailboxes and stole mail including a number of packages.

It is believed the same offender also stole mail from a residence on Chomley Street in Prahran on 2 February.

The offender is perceived to be Caucasian in appearance with long black hair and a thin build. She has tattoos on her left arm of a clock, snake and a possible flower.

Investigators have released images of a woman that may be able to assist with their enquiries.
