Police investigate Mildura assault

Police are seeking witnesses after a man was robbed and assaulted in Mildura earlier this month, Victoria Police say.

Investigators have been told two men and a woman approached a 27-year old Merbein man on a park bench on January 6 at 11.50pm.

One of the male offenders punched the victim, breaking his jaw and causing him to lose a tooth.

The man has then proceeded to take the victim’s phone and forced him to hand over the contents of his wallet, threatening to stab him.

The trio then left the victim, walking west on Thirteenth Street.

Investigators are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the assault.

They have released three computer-generated images of the two men and woman who they believe could help them with their enquires.

The first man is perceived to be of Mediterranean appearance, about 177cm tall, aged in his early-20s with short spiked dark hair and no facial hair.

The second man is perceived to be Caucasian appearance, 170cm tall and has a medium build and ruddy cheeks.

The woman is perceived to be Caucasian appearance, 160cm tall and has a thin build, dark hair and a gaunt face.
