Police Investigate Robbery At Prospect Shopping Centre

Police are investigating a robbery at a Prospect shopping centre this morning.

At about 10.40am on Tuesday 26 May, police were called to a shopping centre on Main North Road following reports that a man had attended a convenience store and threatened staff before stealing cigarettes and other items.

The suspect fled the area and, despite extensive searches, was not located.

Western District detectives and crime scene investigators attended the scene.

Initial investigations have led police to believe the same suspect was involved in a theft at a liquor store and a property damage incident at a clothing store just prior to the robbery. Police are following positive lines of enquiry to identify the suspect.
