Police investigate serious assault at Regents Park

Police are seeking public assistance to help locate a man who may be able to assist with investigations into the serious assault of an elderly man last week at a Regents Park home.

On March 17, a 71-year-old man had his home broken into before he was thrown to the ground and assaulted.

Shortly after, the man's car keys and his car were taken before his mobile phone was smashed.

Officers would like to speak to a 45-year-old man (pictured) described as Caucasian in appearance, approximately 170cm tall, of a muscular build with short brown hair and blue eyes.

Officers are also appealing for anyone who may have seen a maroon 2007 Holden Commodore sedan (pictured) with Queensland registration 542LMV to contact them.

If members of the public see the man or car, they are urged not to approach him but to contact Triple Zero (000).

If you have information for police, contact Policelink on 131 444 or provide information using the online form 24hrs per day.
