Police investigate serious assault at Toowoomba 6 February

Detectives are investigating the serious assault of a 75-year-old man at a shopping complex in Toowoomba City this afternoon (February 6).

Initial investigations indicate the man was waiting at a taxi-rank on Margaret Street when he was assaulted by another man at approximately 5pm.

He was transported to the Toowoomba Hospital where police will attempt to obtain further information from him.

Police are appealing for any person who may have witnessed the assault or who may have relevant CCTV or dash-cam footage, to contact them.

No further information is available at this time.

Investigations are continuing.
