Police are investigating a single vehicle crash, involving a black XR6 Falcon sedan, which occurred on Tea Tree Road at Brighton at approximately 3.45pm.
The only occupant of the vehicle, a 37 year old female from Hobart suffered serious injuries and was transported to the Royal Hobart Hospital for treatment. The vehicle, driven by the female, was extensively damaged as a result of the crash.
Prior to the crash, Police believe that the vehicle had travelled from Triabunna on the East Coast. As such, Police would like to speak with any persons who may have witnessed (or may have dash cam footage of) a black XR6 Falcon sedan driving between Triabunna and Tea Tree between 2.30pm and 3.45pm this afternoon.
