Police investigate sexual assault at St Kilda

Detectives from Moorabbin Sexual Offence and Child abuse Investigation Team are investigating a sexual assault which occurred in St Kilda earlier this year.

Investigators have been told a 28-year-old woman was at a bar on The Esplanade with friends around 1am on 23 February.

It is believed the man approached her from behind and touched her inappropriately.

The man was removed from the premises by security.

The alleged offender is described as Caucasian in appearance, aged 35 to 40 years-old, with a medium build and short brown curly hair.

He was wearing a royal blue blazer with a white shirt underneath.

Investigators have released CCTV images of a man police believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.
