Police investigate sexual assault in Collingwood

Melbourne Sexual Offence and Child Abuse Team detectives are investigating a sexual assault that occurred on a street in Collingwood on 20 March.

Investigators have been told a 26-year-old woman was walking along Langridge Street when she was sexually assaulted by a man thought to be in his 30's, around 10.30pm.

The man fled the area, last seen heading towards Rokeby Street.

Police have released CCTV images of a man they believe may be able to assist them with their enquiries.

He is perceived as being of Indian Sub Continental appearance in appearance, approximately 165cm tall, of slim build and dark hair.

He was last seen wearing a blue check flannelette shirt, with a black t-shirt underneath and army pants with black runners.
