Police investigate stabbing in Geelong

Geelong Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance following a stabbing in Geelong last night.

Police have been told an altercation occurred between a group of men on Brougham Street about 7.35pm.

It is believed during the altercation, two men received stab wounds and the offenders ran from the scene.

A 44-year-old man from Norlane was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and is in a stable condition.

A 26-year-old man of no fixed address was taken to hospital and is in a critical condition.

No arrests have been made and the investigation remains ongoing.
