Police investigate suspicious fire - Woodcroft

Police are appealing for information after a house was destroyed by fire in Sydney's west overnight.

About 1.30am (Sunday 3 October 2021), emergency services were called to a home on Wyangala Circuit, Woodcroft following reports of a fire.

Fire and Rescue NSW extinguished the blaze; however, the house was destroyed.

Two adults and three children who were home at the time were able to self-evacuate and were uninjured.

Officers attached to Blacktown Police Area Command established a crime scene and detectives have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Initial inquiries suggest the fire is suspicious.
