Police investigate suspicious house fire at Coffs Harbour

Police are investigating a suspicious house fire at Coffs Harbour overnight.

About 5pm (Monday 9 December 2019), emergency services were called to a home on Narini Close, Coffs Harbour, after reports a house was well alight.

NSW Fire and Rescue crews brought the blaze under control a short time later.

Upon inspection of the home, crews located a 51-year-old man unconscious inside the home.

He was taken to Coffs Harbour Hospital where he was treated for smoke inhalation.

Officers from Coffs/Clarence Police District attended and established a crime scene.

The home has received significant structural damage.

Police are now investigating the cause of the blaze.
