Police investigate train sexual assault - St Albans

Detectives from Transit Crime Investigation Unit are investigating are investigating a sexual assault that occurred on a train in St Albans last month, Victoria Police say.

Investigators have been told an unknown man boarded an out-bound train at Albion station about 1.59pm on Wednesday 4 October.

The man sat near a 27-year-old Sydenham woman before sexually assaulting her and exiting the train at St Albans station.

The man was perceived to be of Asian appearance, with dark hair and a tattoo on his left forearm.

He was wearing a bracelet on each wrist, a red and blue beanie with the text ‘Young Demon’ on the front, a dark coloured vest over a dark coloured short sleeved shirt, khaki coloured pants, and light coloured canvas shoes.

Investigators have released images of a man that they believe may be able to assist them with their enquiries.
