Police investigate Vermont South burglary

Detectives from the Whitehorse Crime Investigation Unit are asking for public assistance to help solve a burglary which occurred in Vermont South earlier this month.

Investigators have been told a man forced entry into a house on Fortescue Grove sometime between 8.15am and 12pm on Friday, 7 May.

He has then moved around the house and stolen several credit cards which have since been used at numerous locations in the eastern suburbs and Melbourne CBD.

Investigators have released an image of a man they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.

The man is perceived to be Caucasian in appearance, aged in his 40s with a medium build, medium height, and grey hair.

He was wearing a black cap, blue hoody with a white pattern on the front, dark pants and light-coloured canvass shoes.
