Police investigating after 73-year-old man assaulted, robbed at Condobolin

An investigation is underway after a 73-year-old man was assaulted and robbed in the state's Central West.

Shortly after 10.30am yesterday (Thursday 19 December 2019), the Euabolong man walked along McDonnell Street at Condobolin when he was pushed from behind and fell to the ground.

Police were told two men – described as Aboriginal/ Torres Strait Islander in appearance – grabbed the 73-year-old's wallet and ran from the scene.

They were last seen running along the laneway behind the RSL Club.

The man attended a nearby business where he received medical treatment for abrasions and bruising to his arms and knees.

Officers attached to Central West Police District were notified and commenced inquiries.
