Police investigating after pin found in squishy ball - Southern Highlands

An investigation is underway after a pin was found in a squishy ball at a business in the Southern Highlands.

About 1pm Saturday (29 February 2020) a primary school aged girl entered a store on Argyle Street, Moss Vale with her mother.

The girl picked up a small squishy ball, on sale at the business, and was pricked by a small sewing pin that was inside the ball.

Staff at the store rendered first aid and the girl left the store with her mother. The girl did not sustain any significant injuries.

The matter was reported to police on Tuesday (3 March 2020), and an investigation was commenced by officers from The Hume Police District.

As inquiries continue, police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

Police believe the incident is not targeted.
