Police investigating after two pedestrians struck at Neutral Bay

Police are investigating after two pedestrians were struck by a car at Neutral Bay today.

Just before 9am (Wednesday 6 November 2019), emergency services were called to Bydown Street, near Yeo Street, following reports an Audi SUV collided with four parked vehicles and two pedestrians – a 40-year-old man and an eight-year-old boy.

The eight-year-old boy was taken to the Sydney Children's Hospital at Randwick and the man was taken to Royal North Shore Hospital; both are in a serious condition.

The driver, a 53-year-old man, was taken to Royal North Shore for treatment for shock and will undergo mandatory testing.

Another eight-year-old boy was taken to Sydney Children's Hospital at Randwick as a precaution.

Officers from North Shore Police Area Command established a crime scene with police from the Crash Investigation Unit to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Any witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage is urged to come forward.
