Police investigating Cambridge truck theft

Detectives from Bellerive CIB are investigating the theft of a truck from a business off Kennedy Drive in Cambridge in the early hours of this morning.

A white Mitsubishi Canter flat tray truck was stolen from the yard shortly before 5am.

The truck was driven through Cambridge onto Holyman Drive, travelling past the airport and along to Surf Road in Seven Mile Beach, where it was later recovered by police.

Detectives believe the offenders have moved property from the truck into a second vehicle before leaving the scene and are interested in hearing from anyone that may have seen the truck travelling through Cambridge or parked in Surf Road, Seven Mile Beach between around 4.45am and 6.30am today.

Detectives are particularly interested in hearing from anyone who saw the second vehicle and/or the occupants.
