Police Investigating Over Public Place Shooting - Marsfield

An investigation is underway after multiple shots were allegedly fired in Sydney's north today.

About 1am today (Saturday 10 May 2025), emergency services were called to Wilga Place, Marsfield, following reports of alleged shots fired.

Officers attached to Ryde Police Area Command attended and spoke to a 28-year-old man before they found several shots had been fired towards a house.

A short time later, police were called to Ruse Street, North Ryde, following reports of a bullet located inside a home.

Police were told a window was damaged before a bullet was found on the floor.

There were no injuries reported from the two incidents.

About 1.25am on the same day, officers attached to Cumberland Police Area Command were called to Mardi Street, Girraween, following reports of a car fire.

On arrival, police located a black sedan well alight.

The fire was extinguished a short time after Fire and Rescue NSW arrived.

There were no injuries reported due to the fire.

Police established multiple crime scenes to commence an investigation into the incidents, including the links between the incidents.
