Police investigating robbery at Glenview at Sunshine Coast

Sunshine Coast detectives are investigating an armed robbery at Glenview last night.

Around 9pm, an 18-year-old man was driving along Steve Irwin Way when he was flagged down by 4 men standing next to a stationary vehicle.

Two of the men approached the man and allegedly pointed a firearm at him whilst demanding he hand over his mobile phone.

The men then left the scene in the Holden and were arrested later by police at Birtinya.

The Bushland Beach man was not injured.

A 28-year-old man from Maroochydore has been charged with armed robbery.

A 29-year-old man from Morayfield has been charged with one count each of armed robbery, unlawful possession of a weapon and possessing dangerous drugs.

They are being held in custody to appear in the Maroochydore Magistrates Court on May 9.

Investigations are ongoing.
