Police investigating robbery at Karama

Northern Territory Police have arrested three people after a robbery incident in Karama overnight.

Just before 6:30pm, an employee returned from a delivery when was he approached by a large group of youths outside the Karama commercial premises. The group allegedly took the victim's wallet and brandished a short baseball bat, demanding possession of his moped.

The incident was reported immediately to police. While patrolling the area, police located the damaged moped near Karama Service Station. Fortunately, the victim did not sustain any injuries during the incident.

Strike Force Trident identified members of the group involved and two males, aged 15 and 16, were arrested later that evening.

Additionally, a third offender, a 15-year-old male, has been arrested this morning. All three offenders are expected to be charged later today.

Ongoing efforts are being made to locate and apprehend the remaining offenders.
