Police are investigating after a woman was injured in what is believed to be a shooting incident at Southport this afternoon.
Police received a call at 2.20pm after a woman presented to a health clinic at High Street with a minor abrasion to her left forearm.
The woman was transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
Police are now looking for a man, who is known to the woman and investigations into the context of the wounding, and whether it was a result of accidental discharge is underway.
Enquiries indicate there is no ongoing risk to the public.
