Police investigating wounding at Palm Beach

Police are investigating after a 40-year-old man sustained a puncture wound at Palm Beach overnight.

Around 9.15pm the man went to investigate after a glass door was damaged at a Cypress Terrace residence.

When he was at the front of the property he was confronted by a man and received a wound to his torso area from an unknown implement.

The man was transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital for treatment to a non-life threatening injury.

Police investigations are continuing.
