Police investigating wounding at Stretton

Investigations are underway after a man was shot in the foot at Stretton early this morning (June 26).

Police were called to a Jefferson Place property at approximately 1.20am to reports a man had been injured.

Preliminary investigations indicate several persons attended the residence where an altercation took place before the man was shot in his left foot.

Those involved are believed to have left the scene in a dark coloured vehicle.

The 55-year-old man was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a stable condition.

Upper Mount Gravatt & Acacia Ridge Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) detectives have launched an investigation and appeal for anyone with information or relevant CCTV or dashcam footage in the area at the time to contact police.
