Police Investigating Wounding At Surfers Paradise 1 October

Police are investigating after a woman was wounded at Surfers Paradise overnight, 30 September.

Just after 10pm, police and emergency services were called to a unit on the Gold Coast Highway following reports a woman had been wounded during an altercation with a 40-year-old man, who is known to her.

The 48-year-old woman sustained a laceration to her collarbone and underneath her chin. She was transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.

The man fled the scene prior to police arrival, where a crime-scene was declared.

There is no ongoing threat to public-safety and investigations are ongoing.
