Police investigating wounding at Yarrabilba

Police are investigating an incident in Yarrabilba last night which resulted in a 33-year-old man receiving a single stab wound.

Preliminary investigations indicate that around 8:30pm a man and woman were driving in their car and were followed by unknown people in a white Holden Commodore.

Upon turning into Darlington Drive, two men have exited the Commodore armed with baseball bats.

One of the men has stabbed a 33-year-old man through the passenger window.

He was transported to the Princess Alexandra hospital for non-life-threatening treatment.

The alleged offender is described as Caucasian, tall, skinny with short brown hair and was wearing a white long-sleeved shirt.

It is believed he was travelling in the white Holden Commodore with a female driver and another man and woman.

Investigations are continuing by detectives from the Criminal Investigations Branch.
