Police launch investigation into four-vehicle crash - Kurmond

Investigations are continuing into a multi-vehicle crash in the Hawkesbury region this morning.

About 5.10am (Thursday 15 December 2022), emergency services were called to Bells Line of Road, near Comleroy Road, at Kurmond, following reports of a four-vehicle crash.

On arrival, officers from Hawkesbury Police Area Command located four vehicles – a truck, two utility trucks, and a Holden Commodore station wagon – had collided.

The driver of the Holden, a 30-year-old man, and the front passenger, a 33-year-old woman were taken to Westmead Hospital, both in a stable condition.

Three of the Holden's rear passengers – a 3-year-old girl, a 6-year-old boy, and an 8-year-old girl – were taken to the Children's Hospital at Westmead.

The drivers of the two utes, a 58-year-old man and a 22-year-old man, and the truck driver, a 46-year-old man, were all treated for minor injuries on the scene.

Officers from the Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit will investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
