Police lay armed robbery charges at Gailes

Ipswich Detectives have charged a 29-year-old Inala man following the alleged armed robbery of a Gailes business earlier this week (January 11).

Police will allege the man entered the business around 5pm on Tuesday before presenting a firearm towards staff and demanding money.

The man then fled the scene in an alleged stolen red 2016 Hyundai i30 with registration plates 174YIO (similar to pictured).

The man has since been charged with armed robbery and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

He will appear in Richlands Magistrates Court on January 17 (Monday).

The stolen Hyundai i30 used in the robbery remains outstanding with police appealing for anyone with information about the location of the vehicle to come forward.
