Police lay armed robbery charges at Murrumba Downs

Two teenagers will appear in court after being charged with a range of offences following a series of alleged armed robberies in Murrumba Downs.

Numerous witnesses phoned police just before 5pm yesterday to report two allegedly armed juveniles committing a series of robberies in the vicinity of Aleisha Court.

The teens are alleged to have used a knife to threaten multiple people while attempting to steal vehicles and property from addresses on Aleisha Court, Goodfellows Road, Marlene Street and Alana Street.

They then proceeded to an education facility on Goodfellows Rd, where they allegedly threatened and assaulted a staff member while armed with a knife.

Police located and arrested the teens a short time later.

A 16-year-old Murrumba Downs boy was charged with ten offences including one count of armed robbery and three counts of attempted armed robbery.

A 15-year-old Deception Bay girl was charged with seven offences including robbery and attempted robbery.

They were refused bail and will attend Redcliffe Children's Court.
