Police lay arson charge, Monkland at Gympie

Police have today dealt with a number of teenagers following a house fire in Monkland on February 7.

It will be alleged the building on East Deep Creek Road was destroyed by a fire that had been deliberately lit around 6:10pm.

A 16-year-old girl from Boyne Island has been charged with one count of arson and trespass.

She is due to appear in the Gladstone Children's Court on March 9.

Three girls from Gympie, aged 13-years-old, 14-years-old and 17-years-old, will be dealt with under the Youth Justices Act.
