Police Lay Assault Charges At Boondall

Police have charged a man following investigations into alleged assaults at Boondall last night, 26 November.

Around 7.40pm, two security officers were allegedly assaulted by the man at a Melaleuca Drive venue.

A 23-year-old Boondall man required medical treatment for a nose injury.

It will be further alleged, upon police arrival, the man also assaulted two police officers before being taken into custody.

The 19-year-old Cleveland man has since been charged with two counts of assault police licenced premises 108B COA public place adversely affected, and one count each of assaults occasioning bodily harm in public place while adversely affected by intoxicating substance, common assault in public place while adversely affected by intoxicating substance and commit public nuisance licensed premises.

He is expected to appear before Brisbane Magistrates Court on 10 December.
