Police lay assault charges at Pioneer

Queensland Police have arrested a woman on five charges following an alleged assault in Pioneer (Mt Isa) this morning, February 20.

Police responded to a disturbance at 1.30am and located a 37-year-old Healy woman nearby a male victim known to her.

An 18-year-old man sustained head injuries as a result of an incident on Hilary Street.

She has been charged with one count each of occasioning bodily harm, forcible entry, wilful damage, assaulting a police officer, and obstructing a police officer.

She is expected to appear at Mount Isa Magistrates Court on Monday, March 4.

The man was transported to Mount Isa Hospital in a serious condition.
