Police lay charges after Amber Alert at Leap

Police have charged a man after an Amber Alert was issued on August 11 in relation to four children who went missing from the Leap, north of Mackay.

The children were located safe and well on August 12.

A 28-year-old man was arrested today following the execution of a search warrant at a property at the Leap.

He has since been charged with two counts of contravention of a domestic violence order and one count each of possess dangerous drugs and possess utensils.

The man has been denied police bail and is due to appear in Mackay Magistrates Court on August 17.
