Police lay charges after Carlton stabbing

Melbourne Crime Investigation Unit detectives have arrested and charged three teenagers following a stabbing in Carlton over the weekend.

Two of the teens, aged 15 and 16-years-old, were arrested on Sunday after a warrant was executed at a Tarneit address.

The third boy, aged 14-years-old, was arrested late last night.

The trio have been charged with a range of offences including; intentionally cause serious injury.

The charges follow an incident in Cardigan Street where a 15-year-old boy was allegedly stabbed while riding home on his scooter on Saturday 23 January about 5.30pm.

It's understood the victim was approached by up to 10 youths before an alleged altercation led to the assault.

The trio have all been remanded in custody to appear at a children's court today.

The investigation remains ongoing.
