Police lay charges after fatal crash at Rosedale

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives have charged a man following a fatal crash involving an off-road buggy in Rosedale on Saturday afternoon.

The 33-year-old Rosedale man has been charged with culpable driving, dangerous driving causing death, reckless conduct endangering life and recklessly cause injury.

He will appear before Sale Magistrates' Court today.

The charges follow an incident at a property on Dennison Road shortly after 4pm on 11 September.

The man was allegedly driving the buggy, with five girls and two boys on board, when it rolled in a paddock.

A six-year-old girl was airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries but sadly died from her injuries.

A four-year-old girl was also airlifted to hospital with serious injuries.

Five other children were assessed by paramedics and taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
