Police lay charges after five women sexually assaulted - Drummoyne

Detectives have charged a man following an investigation into the alleged sexual assault of five women in Sydney's Inner West.

In July this year, officers from Burwood Police Area Command commenced an investigation following reports five women had been sexually assaulted by a man known to them.

Following extensive inquires, a 26-year-old Campsie man was arrested at Burwood Police Station about 11.30am yesterday (Friday 30 October 2020).

He was charged with six counts of sexually touch another person without consent and six counts of sexual intercourse without consent.

Police will allege in court that the women – aged between 18 and 21 – were sexually assaulted by the man while working at a store at Drummoyne between February 2019 and July 2020.

The man was granted strict conditional bail to appear at Burwood Local Court on Monday 23 November 2020.
