Police lay charges after investigation into stabbing at Willoughby

A man has been charged following an investigation into a stabbing at Willoughby earlier this week.

About 1.20am on Wednesday 8 December 2021, emergency services were called to Willoughby Road, Willoughby, and found a 27-year-old man with stab wounds to his chest and shoulder.

He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Royal North Shore Hospital in a stable condition. He is expected to be released today (Thursday 9 December 2021).

Officers from North Shore Police Area Command established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Following inquiries, detectives attached to North Shore Police Area Command attended a home on Camera Street, Manly, about 10am today (Thursday 9 December 2021), where they arrested a 20-year-old man.

He was taken to Manly Police Station where he was charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

The man appeared at Manly Local Court today (Thursday 9 December 2021) where he was refused bail to appear at Central Local Court on Thursday 3 February 2022.
