Homicide Squad detectives continue to investigate the death of a 22-year-old man in Mernda on Friday night.
It is alleged emergency services were called to Bridge Inn Road about 5.50pm on 6 March after reports of a group of people fighting.
A 22-year-old Mernda man was located at the scene with life-threatening injuries and was treated by ambulance crews but died.
Police arrested four people, a 16-year-old, 18-year-old and two 17-year-olds in relation to the incident
Homicide Squad detectives have charged a 17-year-old boy from the Greater Geelong and a 16-year-old boy from the Whittlesea area with murder and armed robbery.
Both will appear at a children's court at a later date.
An 18-year-old man from Mill Park has also been charged with murder and armed robbery and will face the Melbourne Magistrates' Court on 8 March.
A 17-year-old from the City of Yarra is under police guard at hospital and yet to be interviewed.
