A man has been charged after a pedestrian was hit by a car near Fairfield overnight.
Just before 11pm yesterday (Thursday 18 March 2021), emergency services were called to the Hume Highway at Lansvale following reports a Toyota Camry hit a pedestrian.
The pedestrian – a 24-year-old man – was treated at the scene for facial injuries, before being taken to Liverpool Hospital in a stable condition.
The driver of the Camry – also, a 24-year-old man – allegedly retuned a positive result to a random breath test at the scene.
He was arrested and taken to Fairfield Police Station, where he returned a breath analysis of 0.078.
The man was charged with cause bodily harm by misconduct in charge of motor vehicle, drive with low range PCA and drive while licence application refused.
He was granted strict conditional bail to appear at Liverpool Local Court on Wednesday 7 April 2021.
Investigations are continuing.
