Police Lay Charges After Stabbing In Narre Warren South

Dandenong Family Violence Investigation Unit detectives have charged a man following a stabbing in Narre Warren South yesterday.

It is alleged a man and woman were sitting in a car on The Esplanade when they were approached by a man known to them about 10.40pm.

The male driver was allegedly stabbed before driving off in the vehicle.

He later collided with another vehicle at the intersection of Grices and Glassocks Road in Cranbourne North.

The 37-year-old Doveton man was transported to hospital where he remains in a critical condition.

There were no other injuries.

Police attended a nearby address, arresting a 52-year-old Narre Warren South man.

He has since been charged with intentionally cause serious injury and is due to face Melbourne Magistrates' Court today.
