Police lay charges - Aggravated robbery in Darwin CBD 15 March

Strike Force Trident have charged two female youths after a robbery in the Darwin CBD earlier this week.

At 8pm on Monday, a female victim withdraw a large sum of cash from an ATM on Smith Street. A short time later the two offenders, aged 14 and 17, allegedly assaulted the victim on Packard Place, stealing her bag and fleeing the scene.

Yesterday morning, Strike Force Trident and the Dog Operations Unit arrested the pair in Knuckey Lagoon where they have since been charged with one count of aggravated robbery each.

Detectives have recovered the majority of the stolen cash.

Both were remanded to appear in court today.
