Police lay charges - Assault worker - Narrows

Northern Territory Police have charged a man with assaulting a security worker at a housing complex in The Narrows.

Around 11:30pm yesterday, police were called to the complex after a 19-year-old male allegedly threatened and assaulted a security officer. The man was located nearby and taken into custody shortly after the incident.

Police have charged him with:

  • Assault worker
  • Going armed in public
  • Breach of bail

We was remanded to appear in Darwin Local Court today.

Commander Matthew Hollamby said, "It is not acceptable that anyone should be assaulted in the course of their work."
